The Land of the Free... What?

Welcome to America!
This country has been founded on freedom. It is the land of the brave and the home of the free. You are free to be whom you wish without the fear of persecution. We do not discriminate against sex, creed, race, age, or religion. A separation of state and church so one will not be ruled by one or the other. You are free to choose whom you wish to follow, you are free to be with whom you wish. However…
- You shall not marry someone who shares the same sex as you… But we don’t discriminate against sex
- According to the bible marriage is defined as a union between man and women; it is a moral issue… But we have a separation of church and state.
- Same sex marriages upset the president… But you are free to be whom you wish without fear of persecution.
- Our constitution starts with “We the people”… But you are not able to make your own choices; we must do it for you.
- Elect your speaker, they will listen and help you get what you wish… But don’t speak to them about this issue.
- “The bible states”... Yes, but who’s bible?
- We don’t believe any other religion or belief to be valid, therefore you must listen to us and follow ours… But we do not discriminate against religion.
Yes, the land of freedom… freedom for what? Our President is making it clear women should have no rights. They must not have the brains to be able to make valid choices about their own bodies. Gays and lesbians should have no rights, why should they marry? It is morally wrong. The poor shall be poorer and the rich richer.
Is he in office to help us or settle a debt his father started years ago? He took America’s money to fight a war under false pretenses, now look where we are headed. He wants to put an amendment in that states marriage is only between man and woman, what right does he have to dictate whom and what we shall become? Ruled by religion he can not make the separation of church and state. Well here is a brief lesson for our president… Not everyone in America follow the Christian religion. Hard to believe I know but some follow other paths. For him to state that it is morally wrong not only discriminates against the sex’s it also discriminates against my religious beliefs.
