A million miles I walked, 
and every mile the same 
every street was different 
but the names were still the same 

Each time my heart was broken 
a thicker wall was built 
My name never again spoken 
and In solitude I dwelt 

How could I have known when you came 
hammer and chissle in hand 
that the bricks were to be torn down
and the wall turned into sand 

Once again the door stood open 
my nakedness to see 
through your lips my name was spoken
through your love I came to know me.
