For what I've cursed you
For what you did before
I could not face it
If I were to ignore
Another chance to
Another door to
Another breakthrough
To the farest shore
And how I did curse you
For my part you've done too
A dark day broken
I knew I should have run
Back on the platform
I stand here to adorn
My resolution
Of a further shore
(Chorus)
You stand at the rolling tide
Walk into the waters denied
Spent time down there before
Fresh scars I must ignore
The waters welcome me
Pull me deeper still
Tasted of my skin
They take me for more
(Verse 2)
To craft a seachild
To want for something else
To set the compass
And to run like hell
Head held for progress
Back arched to take the storm
Legs braced to chase the wind
To a further shore
With tempered metal
With brow of beaten rain
Posidon's daughter stands
As I set my course again
My will protect me
The father's passage vow
I'll bate my breath until
A further shore

It's a song about setting a goal and doing your damnedest to achieve it.
Regardless, period! Not too dissimilar to trying to get a band off the
ground. :) It also tells you that you can get lost along the way, enjoy too
much of the journey beween places and stay in transition. Or even forget
what you were after in the first place. Focus... Staying true to the plan you
had, regardless of how anyone tries to change it. Even if it's the second,
third, or ninty-fifth time you tried
