Types Of Rituals To Do

* Imbolc is symbolic of new beginnings and sweeping out of the old. It is a good time to have self-dedication rituals and reinitiation reituals during this time. More traditional activities are to make candles, lighting a candle and placing it in a window and letting it burning it until morning, using candles in magic and divination rituals. It is a time for doing a "spring cleaning" of your house, bless seeds that are hoped to produce good plants for food and other things, restock your magickal cabinet. You can also go out and look for signs of spring. Go collect pebbles or other natural trinkets.

* Bless rushes/straw and make Brigid wheels

* Put out food and drink for Brigid on Her eve (such as buttered bread, milk, grains, seeds)

* Put a chair by your hearth that has been decorated by women; young woman carries in first flowers & greens, candle.

* Open your door and welcoming Her into the home. "Bride! Come in, the bed is made!

* Preserve your house for the Triple Goddess!" Scottish Gaelic Invocation: "May Brigit give blessing to the house that is here; Brigit, the fair and tender, Her hue like the cotton-grass, Rich-tressed maiden of ringlets of gold."

* Brigid's Bed (Scotland): Put grain effigy and a phallic wand in a basket next to the hearth/candles at night and chanting three times: "Brigid is Come! Brigid is Welcome!"
